The build went pretty smoothly with parts fit being generally very good. Next it was out with the paintbrush for a green over sand camo scheme. While it dries I'll check out my stock of SAAF markings.
If you are not already aware of the book 'Vlamgat' by Dick Lord, might I bring it to your attention? It's the story of the F1 in SAAF service, and is a very comprehensive work, and nicely illustrated throughout - plenty of useful references regarding colour schemes and markings.
Just had a look on Amazon, and it's available, but at a hefty price! If like me you are not minded to hand over 50-odd pounds for a single book....? I'll lend you my copy if you cover the postage - e-mail me on albannachtwo at gmail dot com if you want..
Nice camo ;)
