This splendid tri-motor bomber was part of last year's excess at Partizan. I'm not sure of the maker but I recall Airfix produced such a kit - which I confess I always coveted.
Clearly only a maniac would use such a thing in a game......
Superb...I made the Airfix one when I was a lad (before I even mastered slapping paint on my models). This was probably the largest model I made in my early years - due to pocket money restrictions - and I really liked the antiquated look of the machine.
It served as my bomber in my garden wargames so probably ended up with some fireworks strapped to it at some point (that's how most of my models ended up)! :)
If only I knew a maniac...
ReplyDeleteA 3 engine bomber is nearly as good as a 2 engine heavy fighter.
ReplyDeleteWhat game have you got lined up for it?
Cheers,
Pete.
It looks like the old Airfix kit to me.
ReplyDeleteRegards, Chris
A lovely little leviathan indeed. Is there a competition to find the maniac then or do you have one in mind?
ReplyDeleteA real maniac would have two:)

ReplyDeleteIf you're reading this you probably qualify...

ReplyDeleteQuite right - it's the future!

ReplyDeleteYou sound like a man rich enough to have owned one from new.

So at least it had a sort of 'Viking Funeral'!
