Hogging the limelight - part 2

Remember the Warthog build from earlier this month?  Well here it is finished at last.
I went for a green/green/grey camo finish and used the kit decals.  This last turned out to be a problem which eventually required three coats of varnish on the affected areas to make the decals adhere properly.
Still, for an old kit it looks OK.

  1. I'm a bit of a fan of Phacochoerus Anti-Armouros, and I'm liking this came scheme. But here's a question for you Tim, how do you stop decals looking sort of separate to the rest of the scheme, they always appeR a bit shiny and, well , recently applied, whenever I've used them ( the water slide transfer type). On another note, where on earth will you fight when the weather turns? Or iare Moscow campaigns already in your sights!

I give everything a coat of varnish. And Don's decal set suggestion helps too.
As to General Winter, most of my games are played indoors and the Sheffield club meets in a massive hall....

It's certainly ugly but given that one of the bombs fell off while I was taking the photos it may not be very militarily efficient...
