Waterloo 200 game - part 4

Napoleon doing his best to look dignified...
 ...and failing!

Blucher arrives, having seen off Grouchy at Wavre

Infantry Rgt. 25 was a late and very quickly painted addition.  I read that it was formed from the 1813 Lutzow Freikorps and many of the men still wore their black uniforms.
Doesn't this inn look familiar?  Turns out that Bell Alliance have a branch in Plancenoit.

  1. Great sense of distance here that you cannot achieve on the tabletop.

    Well done guys.

  2. It IS hard to look dignified when you're on your knees with your butt in the air. The hat and deadly eye aim almost manage it though.

  3. These picture give a real sense of the scale of the thing..... bloomin' brilliant. What make are the lancers and the black coated Prussian by the way?

Quite. We had originally planned to have some form of screen to prevent the other players seeing what was going on at Wavre, but it was so far away we didn't need to bother.

Indeed - and Nepoleon knows more about firing cannon than the rest of us.

The pink lancers are old Timpo figures mounted on Supreme horses (which look like the Italeri nags) and equipped with very sharp steel lances. IR25 was formed from Supreme Russians suitable repainted.

The board requires a lot of storage space!
