Having sorted out and cleaned a load of HAT Landwehr to stand in as 1914 Russians I managed to complete the first 20-figure unit over the weekend.
They have vaguely the correct shape of caps, a 'real' (Armies in Plastic) Russian officer and a Russian flag. Close enough then?

They look reassuringly chilled in those greatcoats. Sadly I don't think I will be able to make it to the Tannenberg game but look forward to seeing the reports.
