Terrible toy Teutons taunted by turban toting Tinlanders - part 2

Now for a look at the game's opening moves.  Above we see yet more Teutionian troops marching to the front.

More lancers galloping ashore from the troopships.

All corners of the Tinnish Empire had been scoured for manpower/

 

In the face of such colourful adversaries the Teutonian cavalry screen was soon on the run.

 

The Teutons had brought along troops from their own empire.

 

Tinnish Imperial troops included this hugely impressive (and rather noisy) band.

 

The Tinnish Highland Brigade made good use of the cover afforded by this farmyard.

 

Teutonic advance troops had captured this rather splendid train.

 

An early Tinnish artillery shell passed (very closely!) over the Teutonian staff group - neatly parting the Kaiser's hair!

 

Teutonian propaganda troops were present with their camera.

 

The Teutons had 'borrowed' my scratchbodged gunboats.  These sailed under Teutonian flags bearing names which translate as 'The Big Bottom' and 'The Large Gentleman's Sausage'....

 

The Tinnish colonial troops soon rushed forward - here we see a detachment of Ghurkas about to seize some high ground.

Alarmed by the sight of the Highland Brigade's advance, this unit of Teutonian Jagers was detailed to defend the railway halt.
