A package recently arrived from David Crook contained, in addition to the expected set of figures for Battle Cry, some 1/1200 ship parts (pretty much all of a 'King George V' class battleship) and three 1/32 scale matchstick-firing guns!
All are in lovely condition and are shown in the photo being presented to King Boris of Forbodia by Mr Crook's emmissary. As King B himself might say: "Cheers DC!"
Nice looking guns !
ReplyDeleteHi Tim,
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt they will see sterling service in action against the good king's enemies - do you plan a repaint at all?
All the best,
DC
The arms inspectorate from the Embassy of Borduria will pay a visit of inspection tomorrow, with their copy of the Hague Convention.
ReplyDeleteThey look splendid!
Mosstrooper
ReplyDeleteThey're certainly as smart as anything currently in the Forbodian armoury.

ReplyDeleteGiven tha most of my other guns are much scruffier, I should say that a repaint is not a high priority...
Funny Little Wars
ReplyDeleteI just hope you don't find the dossier confirming that they can all be loaded and ready to fire matchsticks within 45 minutes.....
Good heavens! That little chap on the right of the picture looks just like the one I bought back in 1965. Still have it, though it has long since fired its last matchstick. Spring gone.
ReplyDeleteDidn't know they still made them.
Archduke Piccolo
ReplyDeleteSadly they are all long out of production - but still quite easy to find on ebay etc. This lot may easily be as old as your gun!
