As reported in my previous post, I ran the Carrhae game (with Command & Colours) twice on Monday. In contrast to the Parthian walkover the previous Wednesday, the Romans had the better of both games, winning 7-2 and 7-3. Phil Steele led the Romans in both games, aided by Graham Evans in the first. Graham defected to the Parthians for the second game, joining Chris Ager.
Phil shows off with some classic 'wargames pointing' as Chris (left) and Graham look on despairingly. |
Horse archers gallop around the Roman flank - but to no avail. |
The Roman left giving serious consideration to becoming involved in the battle. |
The first game draws to a close - most of the Parthian light cavalry has run off... |
Horses! You need to tool up those Parthian units with HMMWV's Tim.
ReplyDeleteLets see how those Romans would like that!
I am now going to prove I am not a robot by typing in "pacitic 62"
Glad to see the rules allowed the game to swing both ways.
ReplyDeleteNice Romans!
(phhh like a robot couldn't type " pacitic 62" if it wanted to)

ReplyDeleteAfter their recent drubbings I suspect my Parthians may well be considering such a change...
Ross Mac
ReplyDeleteIt certainly proves that both sides have a chance.
Interestingly, I only have to prove I'm not a robot on other peoples' blogs....
i AM a robot and I spit brake fluid on your puny defences.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha!
(Good report, BTW. Nice to see C&C getting some blogtime)

ReplyDeleteIt's as I always suspected! Now be a good mechanoid and deactivate yourself before you cause any more chaos.
Glad you're enjoying the C&C posts - more such games are planned....
