The small batch of Soviet kit I completed recently included this Light Artillery (or Anti-Tank) Regiment, The ZIS-3 76mm gun is a Britannia metal kit, but I can't remember where the (metal) crew figures came from. The truck started off as an Efsi die-cast Ford 'T' van before having it's bodywork ripped off and replaced with various bits of balsa and plastic. I'm glad it looks OK (well I think so), as I made several of them!
Tim,
ReplyDeleteA very nice couple of models. Just the thing to try to stem a German Panzer attack!
All the best,

ReplyDeleteMost of my Soviet lorry fleet consists of scruffy die casts, so these chaps aren't being too hard done to.

ReplyDeleteI picked up quite a few of these trucks over the years - they crop up quite regularly in junk shops and charity shops for about £1 .
Nice Zis conversion Tim, suitably Soviet in approach :O)
