I finally got round to threatening this KV-1 with some paint. It is one of the Pegasus kits I picked up at Partizan last year which I built a few months ago. The black spray paint was added some time later and it has now had a heavy drybrush of green. Detail painting will follow....sometime. Probably.
What green do you use?
ReplyDeleteVery nasty for Jerry. Black paint as a base works very well as shown by your kit.
ReplyDeleteI like it!
That's a very good piant job. Well done.

ReplyDeleteIt is a Humbrol acrylic green - the label has come off the pot but I believe it to be '30 - Dark Green'.

ReplyDeleteDead easy to paint! But I really musn't buy more KVs.

ReplyDeleteMore pics when it is finished....
I should really give a try to pegasus kits.
ReplyDeletethe problem is that I've never seen one in Italy, not even at shows.

ReplyDeleteThey seem to be pretty easy to come by here in the UK. You could always order from a British retailer.
Tim, that's a good idea, but I don't trust too much italian postal services, sometimes your stuff simply "gets lost" somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI usually order stuff at a shop near my town, he is a retailer too and is quite cheap; the bad side is that usually you have to wait months for your stuff to arrive. As for pegasus kits, maybe they'll arrive next autumn - I won't survive the waiting :(

ReplyDeleteIn that case, find out which countries you can get Pegasus in and go to one of them on holiday!
