I now have the painting refernces I need for my next 'modern' army. My thanks to Tom Stockton for posting these recently on the GHQ forum Link
The infantry uniform looks easy enough to paint...
...and the AFV colours are, er, interesting. Some modelling work will be required on my BTR-50s, but the fast exit ramp at the rear is clearly a winner!
Suburban Camouflage. Next time I see a flock of pink flamingos amongst the ferns in some one's garden, I'll look more closely incase one of them is actually carrying an AK 47 and just blending in.
Ahem, that BTR will blend nicely with the frogs in the pond scum layer at the end of the garden.. got me thinking I could repaint the gnomes to match for a New Age Marine Unit.
Ah the sideshow bob cam (SBC) scheme for pith helmets.
ReplyDeleteMakes sense to put a slide on the BTR, it is amphibious after all.
Great shots

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you can see the logic of the arrangement.

ReplyDeleteThe AK is there Ross - you just haven't spotted it yet....
We clearly need someone to write an AK47 Republic variant for the far east !

ReplyDeleteI am pleased to have inspired you. Look forward to seeing your completed gnomes!
yes, the People's Republic of Gullah Gullah is definitely a winner here

ReplyDeletePerhaps you could make a start on the Army List?
Has no-one recognised the blue Frog missile launcher on the back for what it really is? Boom! Boom! :O)
