I will take as an example the Italian 'Ariete' Armoured Division which I plucked at random from my shelves. A further post will look at the unit itself - I know you want to see the toys!
The contents of Ariete's box - I am progressively adding photos of the box contents to the lids of my boxes - it helps greatly with putting the toys away after a game. |
The box label - my Italians live in yellow box files. No slur on the national character is intended! |
My boxes are lined with adhesive backed 'steel paper', which as well as looking neat provides a 'metal' surface for.... |
I'm in the throes of a similar project myself. They really are incredibly handy.

ReplyDeletePerhaps we should start a religion based on box file worship? Worship could take the form of making offerings (toys) to the boxes and stacking them neatly on shelves, the better to gaze upon them. Just watch out for the heretics with metal tool boxes...
Thanks for providing this detail. The secret ingredient is steel paper I think. I must try and find a supply of this as I am now putting my guys on magnetic bases.
ReplyDeleteI was going to get some steel sheets cut.
Long live the box file!

ReplyDeleteOne such supplier is Magnetic Displays - they attend a number of UK shows including Triples and Partizan. Steel sheet is another possibility if you have a source.
