Command & Colours Napoleonics

My copy of C&C Napoleonics arrived last Thursday.  The box contains Rules, Scenario Book, dice, cards, board and wooden blocks to represent units.  As I have already done with C&C Ancients (see my post on this at http://megablitzandmore.blogspot.com/2010/11/battle-of-bagradas-253bc.html) I used Hexon terrain tiles with toy soldiers - in this case my little used 15mm Napoleonic figures.
Over the weekend I managed to find the time to set up and play through the first scenario - Rolica.  Although I had (inevitably) overlooked some rules - my inability to read rules and in this case, scenario notes is legendary - the game progressed well and resulted in a French victory.
I will write up this test game soon, followed by a report of another game using the same scenario, as I plan to run this at the Sheffield club tonight.

    A handsome setup - I've been trying to get a game in over the last few weeks but to no avail. I've a good feeling about Saturday though....

    Wargaming Napoleonic's with a moderate number of figures (beckoning me to think of 6mm)

    Looking forward to your battle report.

    Austerlitz is my fravourite battle. I never realised that there was a cock up between the Russian and European calendar giving Napoleon a nine day adevantage. Plus time was wasted transdlating Russian into German and vice versa.

    Always liked Napoleonics just never found a rule set that did not result in a wargames club feud...)

    Although that hasn't stopped me from amassing a few Austrians...)
